Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award
Purpose
To recognize the leadership of individual credit unions and chapters for their youth financial education efforts

- Credit union chapters
- Less than $35 million in assets
- $35 - $75 million in assets
- $75 - $250 million in assets
- More than $250 million in assets
Eligible Activities
The Alphonse Desjardins Award recognizes credit unions and chapters for their youth financial education efforts. It considers all activities supporting the personal finance education of young members and nonmembers. Almost any kind of activity that raises awareness and marshals resources on behalf of youth financial literacy is eligible. These include public relations, teacher and classroom volunteer training, advocacy, and coalition building.
Procedure
Submit a project binder or spiral bound notebook, along with the completed entry form and checklist. Support materials should be included in the binder or notebook. The award competition is closed for 2007 and will re-open in summer 2008.
