Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation
Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MCUCF) is an organization dedicated to strengthening credit unions, communities, and students by supporting charitable, educational, and research activities.
The Foundation includes funds raised for the Children's Miracle Network/Credit Unions For Kids program. Missouri credit unions have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals since the program began in 1996.
Through donations, the Foundation provides:
- Resources to develop innovative credit union models
- Support for community development credit unions that serve low-income families
- Educational scholarships for credit union volunteers and leaders
- Technical assistance to new and emerging credit unions
Community Investment Fund
The Community Investment Fund (CIF) provides an opportunity for credit unions to give back to others in their community while also generating interest income for themselves. Missouri credit unions invest in CIF through Missouri Corporate Credit Union and receive 50% of the dividend on the investment. The remaining 50% of the return is distributed to the National Credit Union Foundation, half of which the Foundation returns, pro rata, to the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF). Both foundations use the funds for development initiatives such as education, small credit union programming, community outreach and international development.
Contact the Missouri Credit Union Association Education Department at (314) 542-1331,1-888-800-6287, or Eadams@mcua.org to donate to the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation, Inc.
CUAid.coop
CUAid.coop is the first national online giving center for credit unions. All cuaid.coop contributions are directed to the National Credit Union Foundation Disaster Relief Fund. Credit union organizations are encouraged to link to cuaid.coop to offer employees and members a donation option to help fellow credit union employees and members in the disaster area.
BizKid$
Sponsored by America's Credit Unions, BizKid$ is television program designed to teach elementary and middle-school students about earning and managing money. Biz Kid$ is a joint project of Junior Achievement and the former producers of the Emmy-winning television series “Bill Nye the Science Guy.” MCUCF contributed more than $20,000 - the largest donation in the Foundation’s history - toward the program's development.
