"If Credit Unions Don't Vote, Credit Unions Don't Count!"
Posters, Statement Stuffers & More!
The Credit Union National Association Web site features posters, statement stuffers and guidelines for election activity to help inform your credit union's staff, volunteers and members. Click here for more information.
Credit unions face increased threats from banks who are working to eliminate the competition. It's now more important than ever to keep credit union-friendly lawmakers in office and support candidates who support credit unions.
To do that, you need to vote. To vote, you must be registered
How to Register to Vote
Missourians can register to vote:
- By mail through the postcard voter registration application. To request a mail-in postcard registration from the Missouri Secretary of State's Office, use this link.
- At the office of the local election authority (Local Election Authority Contact Information)
- At any Department of Motor Vehicles office, or state agency providing a service to the public (WIC, Social Services, etc.)
How to Update Your Registration
To update your voter registration with a new address, name change, etc., contact your local election authority office. Tell them you would like to update your registration.
Absentee Voting
Missourians who are not able to go to their polling place on Election Day may vote absentee beginning six weeks prior to an election. Absentee voters must provide one of the following reasons for voting absentee:
- Voter will be out of town.
- Voter is ill or disabled.
- Voter will be serving as an election judge.
- Voter is on active duty with the military.
- Voter is prevented by religious beliefs from going to the polls on Election Day.
- Voter is incarcerated (may vote providing that all qualifications for voting are retained).
Voters can request absentee ballots from their local election authority in person or by fax. Faxed absentee ballot requests should be submitted to the appropriate local election authority.
Relatives within the first degree (parents and children) may complete an absentee ballot application, in person, on behalf of the voter who wishes to vote absentee. An absentee ballot form may be found at the link below.
