Four St. Louis-area students recently received college scholarships from Arsenal Credit Union based on academic achievements, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Grace Myers is a graduate of Ursuline Academy and earned a $1,500 scholarship from the credit union. She will attend Creighton University (Omaha, Neb.) to study nursing, ultimately planning to become a pediatric nurse. She is the daughter of John and Kathleen Myers, of Oakville.
Dylan Blake recently graduated from Fox High School and received a $1,200 award. He will attend Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he plans to major in mechanical engineering and minor in aerospace engineering. He is the son of Dan and Kristine Blake, of Imperial.
Holly Heibeck also received a $1,200 scholarship. She just graduated from Northwest High School and is headed to Missouri State University, where she will study Business in the hopes of someday becoming an entrepreneur. Gregory and Jeanene Heibeck, live in Cedar Hill.
Elise Ott, a new graduate of Cor Jesu Academy, earned a $900 scholarship from the credit union. She plans to study film at the University of Alabama, followed by a master’s degree in marketing; she hopes to put her film degree to work in business. She is the daughter of Steven and Sylvia Ott, of Oakville.
In the past 17 years, Arsenal Credit Union has awarded $49,950 to 59 students.
