Barb Stanek is the senior vice president of Operations for the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA), Barb manages the for-profit side of the association overseeing iVia Exchange Services, the check-processing center serving credit unions in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky. Her responsibilities also include the general management of the Shared Branch Network, as well as directing the marketing and sales of the Association’s strategic partner’s products and services. Barb also manages the MCUA field staff, who work with individual credit unions for strategic planning, business solutions and consulting.
In her 27 years with the Association, she has helped introduce such innovations as the capture and archival of check images, remote capture products and several internet based image products. During Barb’s tenure, she also managed the Midwest ATM Company (MAC), which was later purchased by the COOP Network. Prior to working at MCUA, Barb worked as a loan officer at a St. Louis area credit union for five years.
