Lisa Ginter is the Chief Operating Officer for CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Lisa is responsible for and leads the strategic direction and management of all member touch points, including retail branches, lending/collections and lending sales support, business services, online banking/ebranch and the full service call center. Lisa also oversees the marketing and business development functions of the credit union.
Lisa joined CommunityAmerica in 1995, and during her tenure has served the credit union in nearly every executive leadership role, including overseeing Information Services, Mortgage and Electronic Services. She was also the driving force behind the development of the Credit Union’s internal audit function.
Lisa launched her career in credit unions upon graduation from college serving as a credit union auditor for a CPA firm. She has served as President of the Catholic Family Credit Union and Chief Financial Officer for the School Employees Credit Union. She also started her own credit union consulting business helping credit unions with strategic planning.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration degree in accounting from Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.). She has also earned the designation of Certified Chief Executive Officer (CCE) from the Credit Union Executives Society. She’s a graduate of the Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard Business School and was a member of the 2010 “Women Who Mean Business” class honored by the Kansas City Business Journal. She was recently named as one of Kansas City’s Most Influential Women and also appointed to The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Depository Institution Advisory Council. As a lifelong credit union executive and advocate, Lisa also co-founded the Women’s Association of Credit Union Leaders (WACUL), dedicated to empower and expand the number of women in leadership roles in credit unions.
