The Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation proudly supports the following programs and services:

Champions of Financial Literacy

MCUCF partners with the Missouri Council on Economic Education, UMSL and UMKC and dozens of Missouri credit unions to champion the importance of financial literacy through a series of Reality Fairs held at Missouri high schools during the academic year.  The fairs teach high school students the value of budgeting and money management in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.

Support for Credit Unions

To maintain well trained, professional credit union staff across the state of Missouri, credit union training budgets need to be supplemented. For two decades, MCUCF has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships available to credit union professionals to attend state and national trainings on a variety of professional development topics.  In addition, MCUCF has created PROJECT SECURE, an initiative that supplies smaller credit unions with experienced, temporary staff  they may need to fill a two day vacancy while primary staff attends trainings or technical and IT resources to meet the growing needs of the credit union and its members.  MCUCF has also assisted 25 Missouri credit unions in attaining Community Development Financial Institution certification from the U.S. Treasury. This certification and grant helps build the capacity of smaller credit unions to serve moderate to low-income people and distressed communities lacking the access to credit and financial services. .

MCUCF answers the call for disaster assistance from credit union leagues all across the United States.  Some examples include providing financial assistance to credit union members affected by the Joplin tornado, Colorado flooding and New Orleans hurricane.

Credit Unions for Kids

Through a national partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Credit Unions for Kids programs raises funds and awareness for local CMN Hospitals across the state of Missouri.  Credit unions across the state hold annual fundraising events and campaigns with to support this initiative. Funds are used for patient programs and services, renovations, expansions and research.  CMN Missouri hospitals are located in St. Louis, Columbia, Springfield, Joplin and Kansas City areas.

Your support makes it possible for the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation to proudly promote the credit union philosophy of people helping people.  To make a donation or support an upcoming event or activity, please contact Maria Langston, Executive Director, at or 314.542.1344.
