Banks have MONEY. Credit unions have PEOPLE. We'll never be able to compete with the banks on their ability to gain access to legislators and policy makers with their vast, wide-spread campaign donations. But they will never be able to compete with credit unions on our ability to mobilize PEOPLE who care about the credit union philosophy.
This is our opportunity to show Treasurer Zweifel that credit unions are a powerful political force. That we can put PEOPLE in a room, PEOPLE on a campaign and PEOPLE in the voting booths.
ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER
This will be an informal, open house event. Join your peers for a bit of food and beverage at the Country Club of Blue Springs. You don't have to stay for the entire hour and a half, but you are welcomed to do so. While there, you'll have the opportunity to visit with Treasurer Zweifel, introduce yourself and your credit union, and thank him for his support of credit unions and our mission.
You are not required to bring a personal campaign contribution, but it is encouraged. A personal check in ANY amount makes our event a success in the eyes of the Zweifel campaign.
Your state-chartered credit union can also contribute a corporate check to Treasurer Zweifel's campaign in any amount. $250 or more would be appropriate.
Donations can be made payable to: Clint Zweifel for Missouri.
As important as money is, we need PEOPLE in the room. Please attend even if you can only stop by for 15 minutes. If you can contribute, that's great. If not, that is completely understood as well.
RSVP by registering by Monday, July 23.
