Penitentiary Tour

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from CUNA Mutual Group, we’ve planned an exciting optional tour of the Missouri State Penitentiary (MSP) for those who are available on Sunday, April 14. Opened in 1836, the MSP operated continually for 168 years and was home to mobsters, murderers, the notorious and everything in between.

The grounds are a hotbed for paranormal activity and the supernatural. The two-hour private ghost tour includes visits to the upper yard, H-Hall where the women were housed, A-Hall and Dungeon Cells which are in the oldest housing unit from 1868, Death Row, the Gas Chamber and so much more.

Our special guest speaker, Darryl Burton, was housed at MSP for 24 years. He was wrongly convicted and finally exonerated of a murder committed by another man.

6 p.m.        Ghost Tour Dinner for tour participants

7:30 p.m.   Missouri State Penitentiary Ghost Tour
