Trainer:  Heartland Credit Union Association

Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA) is seeking a full-time employee in Kansas City to develop and implement training and education programs for the Association and credit union managers, staff and volunteers in Kansas and Missouri.  Identify the developmental needs of the various groups and individuals that comprise the Heartland Credit Union Association; develop and execute in-house, seminar-style, and webinar training programs that will help these groups and individuals maximize their productivity and efficiency.  Topics can include (but are not limited to) core skills at the credit union (cross-selling, member service, robbery prevention) and also more technical topics such as BSA and Regulation training.

The Trainer position requires a bachelor degree in communication, education, marketing or related field and two to five years of training experience.  Comprehensive knowledge of training techniques and experience with adult learners.  Excellent communication skills, sales abilities and public speaking skills.  Effective organizational skills, time management and initiative.  Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet skills required.  Regional travel of up to 40% is required.

Credit Analyst/Underwriter:  Heartland Business Services

Heartland Business Services is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) established to provide Member Business Loan services.  As a service organization, Heartland offers credit unions a turnkey solution to member business lending by enabling credit unions to quickly, economically, and safely offer a full line of business loans to their existing and potential members.  

The Credit Analyst/ Underwriter will assist credit unions with underwriting aspects of new loan proposals to include financial analysis, loan structure and prequalification.  Responsible for the underwriting of proposed loan offerings, annual credit reviews, collection of financial statements and tax returns, financial analysis and covenant compliance.  Assists with operational functions, including loan documentation preparation and review, credit file management, loan administration, and collection activities.  Bachelor degree in business and 2 years of relevant credit analysis experience required.  Well-developed communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Open new accounts and identify products and services that may be beneficial to the new member
  • Accept and review loan applications
  • Perform accurate and timely account transactions
  • Balance cash drawer on a daily basis
