Assistant Vice President of Lending:  Neighbors Credit Union

We are currently seeking an Assistant Vice President of Lending to join our team. The right individual will help us build and manage our lending programs. If you possess excellent management skills and have experience in the area of consumer and real estate lending, this position may be for you.

This position is responsible for supervising managers of consumer lending, real estate lending and collection departments. Knowledge of commercial lending administration is a plus. The right candidate must be able to effectively manage and motivate lending staff, assist with managing the loan portfolio with a focus on sound lending practices, and have strong experience in the area of regulatory compliance. In addition, strong experience in loan underwriting and loan underwriting management is also required. This position also necessitates excellent skills in project management. This position will have oversight of day to day lending operations, and provide direction to staff and have decision making ability to promote the desired results while providing our members with the best possible service. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Lending.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of lending management experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to lead a team are a must. Must be motivated, a self-starter, have an in-depth understanding of lending and the ability to interpret regulations affecting lending programs. Other skills necessary to be successful:

  • Good research, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Possess superior analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including the ability to compute formulas, ratios, etc.
  • Must be able to work a minimum five day work week, with the availability for nights or weeks as required

Accounting Clerk:  Neighbors Credit Union

We currently have an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk and will be located at the corporate offices in South County. This position provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external members for various accounting duties including but not limited to: ATM, Item Processing and G/L reconciliations. This is not an all-inclusive listing of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.

As a successful Accounting Clerk, you will:

  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries
  • Be able to resolve problems within given authority
  • Share in the daily processing of Share Drafts, Check 21, Incoming and Outgoing Wires
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations for a variety of GL accounts as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The successful candidate must have 2-4 years requirement of college level courses and/or a degree in Accounting. Accounting within a credit union with 3-7  years of experience is preferred. Working knowledge of GAAP, computer skills and systems and credit union philosophy.

Requirements

Branch Manager/Loan Officer:  Mercy Credit Union (Joplin)

Credit Union Branch Manager/Loan Officer is responsible for the daily operations of overseeing a full service branch office. The Branch Manager will be responsible for scheduling, training and assisting staff. Assistant Accounting Supervisor:  Electro Savings Credit Union

Electro Savings Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Accounting Supervisor.  The role of the Assistant Accounting Supervisor will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Department and ensuring financial and accounting records are reported accurately and timely. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles bank accounts, posts to and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, monthly and annual reports, etc.  Records disbursements, expenses and other payment.
  •  Verifies accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received both internally and externally.
  • Assists staff with problems and works with Accounting Supervisor to allocate resources as needed to maintain scheduled completion dates.  Acquires resources to ensure completion of all assigned departmental responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience required: Two to five years of similar or related experience.  

Education required: A four year college degree preferably a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.

Other Skills: Must have a strong understanding of accounting procedures and strong analytic and problem solving skills and be functional with spreadsheets and word processing software.  Must be able to operate a 10 calculator by touch.

Central Processing Representative:  Neighbors Credit Union (South County)

Neighbors Credit Union is currently accepting applications for an immediate opening for Central Processing Representative.

As a successful Central Processing Representative you will:

  • Prepare, review, approve or decline loans within lending limits and policy established by the Board of Directors.
  • Audit loan packages for compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Package loans for final audit and/or storage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, some college coursework is preferred. A minimum of three years of financial institution experience in lending within a credit union or other financial institution is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to recommend additional products, provide outstanding service to members and staff, and support to the member service representatives.  

Hours of operation may vary, but candidate must be able to work a few evening and/or Saturday hours each week.
