On April 27, 2013, Neighbors Credit Union hosted their annual Shred Day. The credit union has offered this service for eight years.
Teaming up with document shredding company Cintas, Neighbors provided the community with the opportunity to shred documents containing personal information. Despite the constant rain, drizzle and cold weather, Shred Day was a smashing success. The credit union served over 100 members and a total of 6,264 pounds of paper were shredded.
“In partnership with Cintas, we were able to provide a service to the community that–now more than ever–is extremely important,” stated Denise Brady, Neighbors Credit Union vice president of retail sales and service. “Most people today are aware of the high cost of having their identities and personal information stolen. Neighbors Credit Union works hard every day to protect the private information of our membership and Shred Day is just another service to help you stay safe!”
