For nearly 21 years, Suzie Sifuentes has lead Burlington Northtown Community Credit Union (BNCCU) in growth of assets and services. In her honor, BNCCU will host a retirement party on October 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its credit union, located at 1002 Swift Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.
"When I started working at my church credit union, I never thought it would turn into a 45-year career," says Sifuentes. "It has been such a part of my life that it has not been a job for me, but something that I really enjoyed. I developed such great relationships - the people that I work with are more like family."
BNCCU has thrived under her leadership, growing from 4 million to over 11 million in assets. During Suzie’s time as president, the credit union has expanded from basic services, like savings and checking accounts, to a full-service credit union, including ATM/debit cards and online banking.
"We will all miss Susie Sifuentes’s friendly smile at Chapter Meetings and other credit union events," says Phil Weber, president of Central Communications Credit Union. "She is always a positive influence and I will miss seeing her at future credit union events."
Suzie will stay on at BNCCU on a part-time basis until the end of the year. She will use this time to train Dan Yantis, who will be stepping into the role of BNCCU president.
Please stop by BNCCU and congratulate Suzie on her retirement!
