Hotel Information
The Missouri room block is located in the Renaissance Washington D.C. Hotel, 999 9th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001, at a rate of $305 single/double for four nights: Sunday, February 23 – Wednesday, February 26, checking out on Thursday morning, February 27, 2014.

MCUA has increased its room block to better accommodate Missouri attendees. However, the number of rooms is still limited. If you have any questions regarding the room block, please contact Maria Langston directly at 314.542.1344 or by email.

Process to reserve an MCUA GAC Block Room:
  • Please use the following link to the MCUA website and fill out the GAC Housing Commitment Form: https://www.mcua.org/node/915  (an ID and password are required)
  • Use this form to confirm your housing requirements for the 2014 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. A credit union may use one form entry to request up to six rooms. NOTE:  This is only a request form to provide MCUA an advance count of room needs.  It does not complete your hotel reservation.
  • Please complete this form. It is required to book a room in the Missouri GAC block.
  • Once a completed form is received, MCUA will send to you a link to access the CUNA Housing Bureau.  When you receive this email, please use the link to complete your official housing registration.

The deadline for the MCUA room block is January 7. MCUA will continue to work with Missouri credit union GAC attendees regarding hotels and make every effort to get additional rooms at the Renaissance once our room block is filled. However, reservations made after the deadline may be at a different hotel.

Crasher Scholarship Deadline is December 17
The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) is partnering with the Cooperative Trust and Credit Union National Association (CUNA) to make the 2014 “Crash the GAC” event bigger and better than ever. Applications are due by December 17 for one Missouri young professional (age 30 and younger) to Crash the 2014 CUNA GAC.

In addition to the core schedule of GAC events and legislative visits with your state attendees, crashers take part in exclusive sessions that will provide a greater focus on credit union advocacy and activities that can help to grow and promote credit unions on the state and federal level.

Each crasher will receive a full conference registration, courtesy of CUNA, and a Cooperative Trust membership. The scholarship from MCUA will pay for airfare and the hotel stay for Missouri’s selected crasher.
