Missouri Credit Union House in Jefferson City was the site of a fundraising event for State Representative Kevin Austin (R – District 136) on January 7. The event took place the night before the start of the 2014 Missouri General Assembly legislative session.
More than 40 friends and supporters of Representative Austin visited the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) office.
“We were excited to host this event as a kick-off to the 2014 session,” says David Kent, director of state legislative affairs for MCUA. “This was a very successful evening , and we look forward to hosting similar events like this during the legislative session. It is a great opportunity to highlight the Missouri Credit Union Association and work together with lawmakers.”
Representative Austin is a lawyer from Springfield and was first elected to the House of Representatives in November 2012. According to Project Zip Code, approximately 8,444 credit union members live in Representative Austin's district.
