Central Chapter Welcomes Lawmakers to Reception

The Central Chapter of Credit Unions welcomed area lawmakers and House and Senate Financial Institutions Committee members to its annual legislative reception on February 19.  The event was held at Capitol City Cork in Jefferson City.  Credit union staff, volunteers and supporters met and discussed credit union topics with Missouri legislators in a relaxed setting.

"It was so wonderful to see all of the legislators including members of the Financial Institutions Committees, credit union staff, and board members come together for an evening of networking," says Tracy McCord, chairperson for the Central Chapter.  "It is so important that credit unions hold legislative reception events.  We need to stay proactive to ensure our voices are heard."
