The Missouri Credit Union Association's (MCUA) Jefferson City office hosted back-to-back receptions this week. MCUA welcomed Representatives Dean Dohrman (R-District 51), Glen Kolkmeyer (R-District 53) and Randy Pike (R-District 126) on February 25 and Representatives Jeff Messenger (R-District 130), Lynn Morris (R-District 140) and Donna Pfautsch (R-District 33) the following evening. Both events were well attended by the lawmakers' friends and supporters.
MCUA has made it a priority to host more events in Jefferson City during the 2014 legislative session. "This was our sixth and seventh event in Credit Union House this year," says David Kent, director of state legislative affairs for MCUA. "These events help develop relationships and also raises lawmakers' awareness of credit union issues and our presence here in Jefferson City."
Representatives Dohrman, Kolkmeyer and Pike were all elected in 2012 and are currently in their first term. They reside in La Monte, Wellington and Adrian, respectively. According to Project Zip Code, the following number of credit union members reside in each district: Dohrman - 3,192; Kolkmeyer - 3,050; and Pike - 1,207.
Representatives Messenger, Morris and Pfautsch also were first elected in 2012. They reside in Republic, Nixa and Harrisonville, respectively. According to Project Zip Code, the following number of credit union members reside in each district: Messenger - 7,367; Morris - 4,830; and Pfautsch - 4,151.
