Rolla Federal Credit Union’s board of directors is proud to announce that effective March 1, 2014, the name of the organization has changed to Riverways Federal Credit Union. The change was needed to reflect the recently approved field of eligible memberships that now includes Phelps, Maries, Crawford and Dent counties.
The member-owned, not-for-profit, financial services organization was organized by members of the community in 1959 as an alternative to the typical banking system.
“Rolla Federal has had a long standing history of providing superior service, great rates on loans and deposits, along with a commitment to make a positive difference in the communities we serve. We are thrilled to now bring our unique philosophy along with the superior rates and services to our new counties. We feel our new name is reflective of our unique region in this great state,” says Scott Shults, credit union president.
The credit union is owned by the members who use it, federally insured by NCUA and governed by a volunteer board of local citizens.
