Kansas City Credit Union addressed more than 100 high school and college interns at the Bright Future Internship Orientation on June 16 at Penn Valley Community College.
Deborah Darby, Kansas City Credit Union's Marketing director, presented at the orientation along with several business professionals. Darby presented valuable credit union information to the attendees. She spoke of the differences between credit unions and banks, the various products and services they offer, how to open an account and more. Her presentation was followed by a question and answer session where attendees asked several good questions.
They also expressed very positive interest in what Kansas City Credit Union could provide for them now, as well as throughout the various stages of their life.
“It was such a rewarding experience for me to talk to the younger generation about how a credit union membership can be very valuable throughout their lifetime," says Darby.
Other speakers included Mayor Sylvester “Sly” James; Jay Hodges, Senior Advisor’s Policy for the Mayor’s Office; Monica Johnson from the MCC Institute for Workforce Innovation and more.
