On June 9 (Affton), June 24 (St. Peters) and July 8 (Hazelwood), Neighbors Credit Union hosted their free Home Buying Mortgage Seminars.
Chris Smith, Mortgage manager, and Scott Beeman, Mortgage Development officer, both from Neighbors Credit Union, conducted the seminars.
“We are proud to host these free seminars for our community," says Smith. "By providing educational resources it helps our members successfully buy a home. We know that purchasing a home is one of the most important investments in our members’ lives; that’s why we do everything we can to help our members understand the process.”
The seminars explained how credit reports can affect consumers' ability to get a loan, what mortgage lenders consumers should be looking at, how large of a down payment should be made and what type of loan is best for consumers. There were also realtors from different agencies that came out to speak to members about the importance of buying a home and what to look for when home shopping.
