Vantage Hosts Credit Union Leaders from Malawi
Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton) hosted a delegation of six Malawi credit union leaders the week of May 10 at its Bridgeton headquarters. The Republic of Malawi is a small southeastern African country, formerly known as Nyasaland, with a population of nearly 14 million. The visitors, led by Sylvester Kadzola, CEO of the Malawi Credit Union League, represented five credit unions from three districts.
Vantage Credit Union was one of many credit union visits along their tour of the St. Louis region. Vantage leaders discussed lending practices, collections, IT procedures, and marketing tools over a light breakfast in the boardroom. Afterwards, the visitors were treated to a tour of the branch and operations.Photo Caption: The delegates (Front Row - Left to right): Albert Moyo from Mzimba Teacher’s SACCO (Northern Region); Faith Manganda from Malawi Union of Savings & Credit Cooperatives (MUSCCO); Itai Msiska from Karonga Teachers SACCO (Northern Region); Brian Chyuse from Fodya SACCO LTD (Central Region); Sylvester Kadzola from Malawi Union of Savings & Credit Cooperatives (MUSCCO); and Charles Nyekanyeka from Bvumbwe Community SACCO (Southern Region).
