CFPB Requesting Additional Data on Mortgage Lending
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is requesting additional data on mortgage lending in conjunction with its rulemaking efforts on the ability to repay proposal. Credit Union National Association (CUNA) requested an extension of this comment period, set to expire Monday, and they have additional time to file their letter.
Not surprisingly, given the technical nature of the request from the CFPB, not much feedback has been received. However, CUNA would like to respond to the CFPB on at least some of its questions, such as those highlighted here.
CUNA has reached out to several CUNA groups for feedback but any assistance you could provide to them would be very much appreciated as well. Comments are needed by July 13.
