1st Financial Federal Uses Facebook for a Good Cause

In an effort to raise awareness for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery through social media, 1st Financial Federal Credit Union is donating $1 for every new “like” it receives on Facebook through the end of August.  The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is an independent, not-for-profit agency funded by donations and committed to preventing child abuse and neglect by providing short-term, emergency shelter for children, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with emergencies or who are in crisis. Families may voluntarily bring their children to any of the Nursery sites for a variety of reasons, including, overwhelming parental stress, parental or sibling illness or death, lack of utilities, food or shelter, domestic violence or any other emergency situations which jeopardize the safety and well-being of the child and necessitate temporary parent-child separation.

When discussing the fundraiser, Michelle Rosner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at 1st Financial Federal Credit Union said,

“The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is an organization that is worthy of every dollar we are able to give," says Michelle Rosner, vice president of sales and marketing. "We have partnered with them for many years and have seen first-hand the impact they have on our communities. Keeping children safe and giving families a place to turn when they need it most is at the heart of the credit union’s philosophy of people helping people."
