The CUNA Councils (Madison, WI) have reached a historic milestone in 2012: membership in the six Councils has surpassed 5,500 members, a result of several years of consistent growth and members’ growing commitment to the credit union industry.
“Reaching this milestone is significant,” says Erin Mendez, council forum chair and EVP/COO at SchoolsFirst FCU (Santa Ana, CA). “The Councils provide credit union executives with a unique and active community where they can reach out to one another, grow professionally, and obtain education and resources that are specific to their role at the credit union. Members recognize how unique the Councils are in our industry, and are proud to be a member of such a pragmatic, influential, and growing professional organization.”
The CUNA Councils include six focused areas of credit union responsibility, including Marketing & Business Development, Human Resources Training & Development, CFO, Lending, Technology, and Operations Sales & Service, where credit union executives tap into a network of senior and middle management peers to connect, learn, advise, and advance the credit union, his or her career, and the credit union movement.
Starting September 17, 2012, the Councils will begin accepting memberships for 2013. Those who join on or after this date will have an active membership for the remainder of 2012 and all of 2013 for one low price.
