The third annual Kingdom House Metamorphosis Young Friends Event, sponsored by American Eagle Credit Union (AECU), was held on October 26, 2012. This free event was held at Moulin Events & Meetings in St. Louis, Missouri. Event participants enjoyed an evening of fashion, West African drumming and dancing, plus cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Social media was utilized to announce the event, highlight door prizes, promote virtual RSVPs, and to provide live updates. During the event, prizes were given away to event-goers who tweeted #Metamorphosis2012, and photos taken during the event were simultaneously updated to AECU’s Facebook page for event go-ers to tag themselves in.
The highlight of the event was a fashion show featuring current fashion trends from Aldo and H&M by Stylists Kyle Kranes and Alina Taylor. Additionally, fashion designer Honey Child showcased her current fashion line. Attendance prizes included a $250 Visa Gift Card from AECU, a Kindle Fire, an autographed David Freese baseball, plus additional gift cards.
This friend-raiser helped Kingdom House spread awareness about its ability to help the people of St. Louis transform their lives through a variety of services.
“I enjoy seeing persons connect to the Kingdom House mission and find a tangible way to live out their desire to make a real difference in the lives of the children, teens, adults and seniors that Kingdom House empowers through our programs and services." states Jennifer March, director of Development at Kingdom House. "American Eagle Credit Union was our 'hands-on' partner of Metamorphosis, working side by side, not only with financial support of our friends event, but also adding professional skills and connections that are not always available to Kingdom House. Through their efforts American Eagle Credit Union demonstrates true compassion and understanding for the needs of our clients/T.E.A.M. members and their families."
