Every April credit unions stress the importance of educating children and young adults in the matters of finance. As part of April Youth Month, five St. Louis credit unions joined forces to raise money for Children's Miracle Network (CMN). The credit unions included Alliance, Electro Savings, First Community, Southpointe and Vantage.
To raise funds while highlighting youth savings, the credit unions ran account specials with incentives going to CMN. Several of the credit unions donated $5 for each new youth account opened, while others donated for deposits into existing youth accounts. Southpointe and Electro Savings' employees also donated to wear jeans on Fridays during April.
Combined, the five credit unions donated $3,418 to CMN, and CO-OP’s Miracle Match doubled this donation.
