Wear jeans and help kids with Miracle Jeans Day. Don’t forget to save the date—Sept. 18, 2013! The event is approaching and there’s no time like the present to start organizing and collecting donations.
The funds raised will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in your community. These funds will support areas such as research and training, purchase equipment and pay for uncompensated care. The organization positively influences hundreds of lives nationwide. For instance, every day CMN Hospitals treat 16,000 kids in emergency rooms, 935 kids with diabetes, 2,218 kids with cancer and 925 babies in the newborn ICU.
This year, there are a few changes to make the Miracle Jeans Day more fun and more effective. Personalized websites are the first of the major changes. It’s easier than ever to get your team on the same page and track all those donations. Visit the Miracle Jeans Day website to get started and click on “Create a Team.” Once you create a team page, you can direct credit union employees and members to donate to this worthy cause.
There are new T-shirts in the mix. For a donation of $25 or more, you will receive a T-shirt. Make sure to request the credit union-specific style that reads “Credit Unions for Kids.” For donations of $60 or more, you will receive a water bottle. Both the new T-shirt and the water bottle are pictured at right.
Once donations have been processed and valid email address has been provided, donors will receive an email with instructions including a donation code on how to receive the T-shirt and/or water bottle.
Back by popular demand, stickers will be available as print-at-home templates. Registered team captains can download the stickers from the Miracle Jeans Day website. Stickers can be used for employees that make a donation of less than $25 to wear on Miracle Jeans Day on Sept. 18.
If Sept. 18 doesn’t work for your credit union, you may substitute a different date.
