An annual tradition stretching back more than a decade continued October 17, 2013, as Rolla Federal Credit Union hosted an open house as part of the credit union’s International Credit Union Day celebration.
“Our staff and board of directors work hard throughout the year to serve our members,” says Scott Shults, Rolla Federal Credit Union’s president. “International Credit Union Day gives us a chance to show members and the community our appreciation for their support.”
Members and guests enjoyed spinning the prize wheel and playing Plinko – several even got the chance to grab some extra bucks at the Cash Grab Cube. Rolla Federal Credit Union gave away more than $1,000 in cash prizes, as well as gift cards and other giveaways.
Staff and volunteers served hot dogs, chips and other refreshments to hundreds of members and guests at the event. This year’s theme, “Credit Unions Unite for Good: A Better Way,” emphasizes the benefits of cooperation among credit unions worldwide.
