United Labor Credit Union's (ULCU) 6th annual Union Retiree Financial Forum will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m., followed by presentations every hour until 2:30 p.m. The state and national award winning financial education-packed event is free of charge. It will take place at the credit union's Gladden Hall in the Visions Building, located at 6320 Manchester Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.
Experts will present to 200-plus credit union members and non-members on topics, like the “How the Affordable Care Act Impacts You;” “Planning Your Estate to Avoid Pitfalls, Probate and Problems;” “Don’t Outlive Your Money!” “Addressing Your Debt in Retirement;” and “Social Security Fundamentals: Guidelines for Making Well-Informed Decisions.”
Catered lunch at 12:30 p.m. will feature “Get Screened!” a mini-presentation about the Building Trades National Medical Screening Program, followed by “Four Main Responsibilities of a Fiduciary: Caring for Someone Else’s Money;” and “Government Health Care Programs Fundamentals."
