Despite the heavy snowfall and cold temperatures outside, a large crowd visited the Missouri Credit Union Association’s (MCUA) Jefferson City office to attend an event for Representative Gina Mitten (D-District 83) on February 5. Attendees included Minority Floor Leader Jacob Hummel (D-District 81) and Minority Whip John Rizzo (D-District 19), among others.
Rep. Mitten is a member of the House Financial Institutions Committee and was recently voted Minority Caucus Vice-Chair by her Democratic colleagues in the House.
"Representative Mitten visited our office for a meeting, and was impressed enough with our facility to ask to use it for her reception," says David Kent, director of state legislative affairs for MCUA. “We have really made it a point of emphasis to utilize our facilities for various functions, and we appreciate the opportunity to highlight the Missouri Credit Union Association and credit unions with this type of event."
Rep. Mitten represents portions of St. Louis City and St. Louis County. According to Project Zip Code, there are 12,042 credit union members in District 83.
