Electro Savings Credit Union (St. Louis) recently donated $20,000 to the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF). This was the credit union’s way of paying it forward to help other credit unions in Missouri.
Missouri credit unions are active within their communities and MCUCF is dedicated to supporting credit unions in this work. Led by a board of directors of credit union executives from across the state of Missouri, MCUCF is a 501c3 organization dedicated to providing education and charitable opportunities to support financial literacy projects, disaster relief programs and credit union and community development initiatives.
This donation was made in support of the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) program that Electro Savings Credit Union participated in earlier this year. Additionally, Alliance Credit Union (Fenton), Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union and United Credit Union (Mexico), have also provided funding for future training programs for all credit unions in the state and the statewide consumer awareness campaign, Bank On More.
These four credit unions form the CDFI steering committee.
