More than 60 Missouri credit unions have already participated in Project Zip Code (PZC) so far this fall. And there’s still time to participate and be counted. To accurately reflect the size and power of credit union membership to lawmakers, all state credit unions are asked to run PZC by November 11. Use this link to download and run PZC. Project Zip Code counts the zip codes of your members and identifies what federal and state legislative districts they live in. With Project Zip Code, credit unions can show Missouri’s elected officials how many credit union members are in their district. By running PZC by November 11, it ensures that changes in credit union membership (member moves, mergers, name changes, etc.) are accurately reflected and information is updated prior to the start of the 2012 legislative session. Project Zip Code results are also helpful for credit union marketing efforts, identifying growth opportunities, and planning ahead.
The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) Advocacy Department is available to handle questions and troubleshoot PZC issues for member credit unions. If you have any questions or need assistance, ask for Tammy Parks in the Advocacy Department at 800.356.7088. You can submit your results by e-mail.
