Credit union leaders from across the world met in St. Louis for the State Credit Union Foundation Network Annual Meeting and REAL Solutions League Liaison Meeting May 7-9. The American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) organized the event. AACUL is a voluntary membership association for credit union leagues, which are members of the Credit Union National Association.
Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) representatives took part in the conference by facilitating a panel on fundraising, leading a Foundation Board breakout session and hosting a special dinner reception on Tuesday night.
During the conference, 21 attendees and 14 staff/speakers tackled issues like small credit union initiatives, campaign best practices, Foundation operations, national party convention projects and more. The conference took place at the Moonrise Hotel.
"It is amazing to have that many credit union leaders in one room and to be able to network with them," says Kevin Shaw, MCUA Office of Small Credit Unions director. "The ideas and information that you walk away with are incredibly valuable."
St. Louis Community Credit Union employees Mike O’Brien and Paul Woodruff took part in the conference, and Stan Moeckli, Electro Savings Credit Union, represented the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation.
