CU Community Credit Union (Springfield) has been selected as a winner in the 2012 American Web Design Awards competition by Graphic Design USA. The Springfield, Missouri-based credit union received this award for its redesign of mycucommunity.com, which launched March 1, 2012. The site was chosen from more than 1,000 applications nationwide and is featured in the May 2012 issue of Graphic Design USA magazine and online.
“We are so proud of this website redesign, which we developed in-house, with additional artistic expertise provided by Creativore, Inc. for custom illustrations and brand consistency,” said Tanja Kern, CU Community's vice president of marketing. “Our computer engineer Andrew Rose went above and beyond to program a site that is easy to navigate and scales across a wide range of screen sizes, from mobile to tablet to desktop. Our hope is that we have developed a site structure that can be updated and refreshed easily as our brand messaging and our customers’ needs progress over time.”
Highlights of the new site include quick access to online banking, attention-grabbing sliders, up-to-the-minute social media feeds and a company blog. A new online tool also helps consumers find out whether they can reduce the loan and credit card rates they are paying at other financial institutions.
