The Missouri network of Credit Union Development Educators (CUDEs) expanded last week as 42 professionals graduated from the program. Three representatives from the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) took part in the week-long training. Mike Beall, president/CEO, served as the group’s facilitator. Kevin Shaw, Office of Small Credit Unions director, served as a group mentor and Halley Hayden, director of marketing, was a participant.
The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) is the primary sponsor of the DE program, which provides critical lessons in cooperative principles and credit union philosophy while incorporating challenges credit unions face today.
“I would recommend the DE program to anyone who is passionate about the credit union movement,” says Hayden. “I found the training to be thought-provoking, challenging and most of all, inspiring.”
