Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union (ABECU) and American Eagle Credit Union (AECU) hosted an employee Spirit Day on September 28 at its main office in St. Louis. During the event, ABECU raised more than $550 to help purchase food and other items for adopted families during the holiday season.
“Spirit Day is a day to thank and recognize our employees for their hard work and dedication to the success of the credit union,” says Dan Vogler, executive vice president of Administration. “We see this day as an opportunity to celebrate our employees, while giving back to the community.”
Spirit Day caps off the credit union’s Employee Appreciation Week and features the opportunity for the employees to ‘dress down’ in their favorite team apparel, enjoy lunch prepared by management, and play a few games. “The highlight of the day is the dunking booth— the ‘dunkee’ volunteers included several members of senior management, even our CEO took a turn in the chair while fellow employees tried knocking them off into the cold water!” says Carolyn Allgeyer, Benefits Specialist and coordinator of the event. “All of the money that we raise goes toward another employee favorite--- Adopt-a-Family."Photo Caption: An employee in and out of the dunking booth.
