Nixon Signs 4 MCUA Supported Bills

Four out of the five bills supported by the Missouri Credit Union Association during the 2014 legislative session will become law on August 28. Governor Jay Nixon (D) signed four of the bills and vetoed one by the July 14 deadline.  Overall, Nixon vetoed 33 bills - the most in a single year since he took office.

Credit Unions Invited to Participate in Freshman Legislative Dinner


The Missouri Credit Union Association has been successful in getting  a slot in the schedule as part of the orientation for new legislators in the Missouri General Assembly.  Credit union representatives from across the state are urged to take part in the event and greet these new lawmakers.  There will be approximately 80 legislators attending including freshmen lawmakers for 2013 and sophomores (legislators serving their second term).
