Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton) was honored as the Community Outreach Volunteer of the Year at a Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition luncheon. In addition to Vantage, seven other organizations were honored at the event.
Being money smart pays off…literally. Nikhil Krishmam, of Fenton, Kyle Reading, of O’Fallon, and Chloe Momphard, of Troy, were each presented with a 2014 Money Smart Kid Essay scholarship April 4, 2014.
It’s official! DeAnna Anglin of Sullivan, has been named the next voice of Young & Free St. Louis. She is the fourth spokesperson for this unique program, powered by Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton). Anglin was one of 34 applicants who submitted videos and blog posts. Eight individuals went on to become finalists based on a vote by their peers.
Seven St. Louis/Illinois area credit unions are participating in the St. Louis Chapter of Credit Union's FREE "Shred Days."
On three separate days at multiple locations, members of the participating credit unions will be able to take up to five boxes (per family) of their personal documents to be shredded on-site by professional document destruction companies. In addition to document shredding, some locations will be offering bike recycling or electronics recycling.
Denise Gittemeier, of St. Charles County, won a $500 VISA Gift Card for taking part in a Vantage Credit Union customer satisfaction survey during January. She picked up her gift card at Vantage Credit Union’s main office in Bridgeton.
Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton) employees raised awareness and funds for cancer research during September and October. Vantage CEO Eric Acree personally presented a check for $500 to The Empowerment Network, and a $3,000 check was sent to Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of the credit union.
The Empowerment Network is a prostate cancer advocacy organization serving the greater St. Louis community.

To qualify for the promotion, which runs June 1 through September 30, members have to open a loan of at least $1,000, or increase an existing line of credit by $1,000 or more, during the promotional period.
The Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton) Board of Directors appointed Eric Acree as president/CEO after more than 20 years of service. Acree previously served as interim president/CEO and has been in a leadership position at the credit union for 15 years. He also serves as chairman of the board for Members Resource LLC, Vantage's mortgage and insurance subsidiary.
