For nearly 21 years, Suzie Sifuentes has lead Burlington Northtown Community Credit Union (BNCCU) in growth of assets and services. In her honor, BNCCU will host a retirement party on October 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its credit union, located at 1002 Swift Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.

Poplar Bluff FCU Hosts Reality Fair

Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union (PBFCU) kicked off October with a financial reality fair. Sponsored by the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF), PBFCU hosted the event at Three Rivers College on October 2, 2013. Seven high schools from the Poplar Bluff area participated—317 students attended.

In addition to PBFCU representatives, volunteers from 40 nearby businesses attended the reality fair.

Former MCUA Leader Passes

Former chairman of the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) Board, John L. Irvin, Jr. passed away at the age of 87. He served on the board from 1965-1967 when the position was referred to as president of the Missouri Credit Union League. 

His commitment to credit unions is still remembered by many. Arnold Sandbothe, a former employee of MCUA, worked closely with Mr. Irvin.

Ozarks Credit Unions Raise More Than $29,000 for CMN Hospitals of CoxHealth

Ozarks Credit Unions, a network of credit unions across southwest Missouri, raised more than $29,477 for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals of CoxHealth. The funds were raised at the 17th Annual Credit Unions’ Golfing for Kids Benefit Golf Tournament on September 6, 2013, at Rivercut Golf Course.
