To celebrate April as Financial Literacy Month, the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration (DIFP) released a video of the recent financial reality fair that the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF) brought to the state capitol.
Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union (ABECU) and its American Eagle Credit Union (AECU) division will host a college planning seminar on Thursday April 24, 2014, at the Holiday Inn in South County. Doors open at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. The informative program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. All are invited to attend the free presentation.
Mid Missouri Credit Union continues helping the communities they serve. Each month, the associates have the opportunity to donate money to wear jeans on Fridays. The month of March, they raised more than $611 for the St. Robert Youth Sports program.

Toot your own horn and submit your entries for the Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring and Desjardins (adult and youth) awards. These awards recognize credit union excellence in external activities, internal efforts and youth and adult financial education.
River Region Credit Union (Jefferson City) has recently donated two copier/scanners to help assist small credit unions. The two credit unions that received them are Northeast Regional in Hannibal and UBC in St. Louis (low-income designation). Both credit unions are under $2 million in assets. Previously, they did not have access to copiers/scanners of this magnitude. Both recipients are also part of the CDFI project.
Women in the credit union industry have access to a great professional resource—the Women’s Association of Credit Union Leaders (WACUL). This organization is open to female credit union leaders from Missouri and Kansas.
It’s official! DeAnna Anglin of Sullivan, has been named the next voice of Young & Free St. Louis. She is the fourth spokesperson for this unique program, powered by Vantage Credit Union (Bridgeton). Anglin was one of 34 applicants who submitted videos and blog posts. Eight individuals went on to become finalists based on a vote by their peers.
