Last week, the Springfield Chapter of Credit Unions installed its officers for 2013-2014. The meeting was held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Springfield DoubleTree Hotel. The guest speaker was John Thomas. He gave a presentation on compliance.

Twenty St. Louis area high school seniors were honored with a Quest For Education Scholarship at an award reception at Dave & Busters on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Vantage Credit Union employees congratulated and presented each student with a $1,000 scholarship.

Electro Savings Credit Union has joined forces with local teachers to improve basic financial literacy knowledge among middle and high school students. The credit union has begun offering teachers and students in the St. Louis area free access to Banzai, a nationally-renown financial education program. Since last fall, St. Louis area teachers have enrolled over 820 students in this innovative, web-based financial literacy program.
As part of a public awareness campaign, Arsenal Credit Union held five seminars and two shred/recycle events between April 20-27, 2013. These events helped consumers better manage their personal finances and protect their identity.
