Mid Missouri Presents Mad City Money to High Schoolers

The Waynesville High School (Waynesville, MO)  class of 2016 had a chance to visit Mad City Money during their Life Skills class. For the third year in a row, representatives from Mid Missouri Credit Union (Fort Leonard Wood) presented a simulation of what the real world would be like after high school and college. Each student received an occupation and salary.

CMCCU "Freezin' for a Reason"

Central Missouri Community Credit Union (CMCCU) (Warrensburg) employees showed their support for HELP Services by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge at Carrollton Recreational Lake.  Community Involvement Incentive Program Chair, Jessica O’Connell said, “If you’re unfamiliar with a Polar Plunge, it’s essentially what it sounds like, you jump into a freezing cold lake!”

Arsenal Brightens Up the Holidays

Arsenal Credit Union (Arnold, MO) showed its care for the less fortunate this holiday season by making its branches donation spots for Toys for Tots, the annual holiday toy drive organized by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. From Dec. 1-18, employees and members of all ages donated more than 100 new, unwrapped toys that will go to needy children throughout the region.

First KC Chapter Event of 2013

Happy New Year!  Come out and join the Kansas City Chapter of Credit Unions at the first happy hour of 2013 on Friday, January 18, at The Well in Waldo.  At the last event in October, about 20 people, representing four credit unions, attended.  It would be awesome to get six credit unions and 25 people at this event! Come collaborate and support the Credit Union Movement.

Electro Savings CU Honors Veterans with Donation to Local USO

Electro Savings Credit Union (St. Louis) donated $1,060 to the USO of Missouri.  Located at Lambert Airport, the USO of Missouri  provides a full spectrum of services to all military personnel and their dependents. All services that are offered are free. More than 700 dedicated volunteers work to keep the doors of the USO open.

Arsenal Employee Appreciation Events

Arsenal Credit Union (Arnold) closed out 2012 with employee appreciation events and its annual Christmas drawings. Employees were chosen at random to receive holiday treats and novelties, gift cards, coupons for dress-down days and more. The drawings coincided with an ugly sweater contest at the credit union’s branches.

TelComm Celebrates the Season with Giving

During the month of December, TelComm Credit Union (Springfield) participated in multiple "people helping people" activities.  On December 1, many of the staff volunteered to participate in the Salvation Army bell ringing activity to collect money.  On December 12, credit union employees donated blood for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.
