Upcoming installments will explore offering members what they want and need along with detailed information on the statewide consumer outreach campaign.

Survey Your Members Now Through December 15

The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) is working on a PR campaign to put credit unions in the news.  A consumer survey has been created and credit unions need to take part in distributing. The survey is designed to obtain members' opinions on issues ranging from holiday spending to personal finance. The survey is brief - about 10 questions - and should only take a couple minutes to complete.

CBS Drives Consumers to aSmarterChoice

More than 300,000 visits have been made to ASmarterChoice.org so far this year. Traffic spiked on October 8, when CBS This Morning aired a segment focusing on "Five Things to Know About Credit Unions." In fact, after CBS MoneyWatch Executive Editor Jack Otter uttered "aSmarterChoice.org" on air, visits to the website increased almost immediately.

Metro Rejoins Credit Union Shared Branching

Metro Credit Union (Springfield) rejoined the Credit Union Shared Branch (CUSB) Network adding two new outlets in the Springfield area. The Metro branches are expected to go live late 2012 or early 2013. With that addition, the Missouri CUSB Network will have nearly 120 branches.
