On December 4-5, the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF) and Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) hosted a roundtable and training for all CDFI-certified credit unions in the state of Missouri. The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions facilitated this two-day training opportunity at MCUA’s Jefferson City office.

CEOs: Join MCUA’s Private LinkedIn Group

Administered by MCUA, this is a private group for CEOs to share helpful information and collaborate with each other. In addition, MCUA staffers will post relevant articles and updates.

Missouri is chockfull of credit union professionals who have a knack for social media. And since social media thrives on collaboration, the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) will facilitate a tweet chat every other month that will be open to all credit unions. This is an extension of #TweetUpTuesdays. 

The first MCUA tweet chat will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 6 p.m. It will last approximately one hour. Again, since it’s hosted on Twitter ALL Missouri credit unions are invited to participate.

Free Coffee Earns Bank On More Camera Time

Shoppers at Taubman Prestige Outlet received a happy surprise on Black Friday—free coffee! Bank On More bought the first 150 shoppers free coffees on November 28. The benefits of this promotion were twofold; it supported a locally owned business, Nadoz, and raised awareness of credit unions.

Bank On More Supports Small Business Saturday

On November 29, Bank On More celebrated Small Business Saturday by partnering with local coffee shops to give away free coffee in Springfield and St. Louis.

Small Business Saturday is a holiday that encourages people to “shop small” at locally owned businesses. In support of this effort, Bank On More bought coffee for the first 100 customers at Country Girls Espresso (Springfield) and La Cosecha (St. Louis).
