CBS Drives Consumers to aSmarterChoice

More than 300,000 visits have been made to ASmarterChoice.org so far this year. Traffic spiked on October 8, when CBS This Morning aired a segment focusing on "Five Things to Know About Credit Unions." In fact, after CBS MoneyWatch Executive Editor Jack Otter uttered "aSmarterChoice.org" on air, visits to the website increased almost immediately.

Metro Rejoins Credit Union Shared Branching

Metro Credit Union (Springfield) rejoined the Credit Union Shared Branch (CUSB) Network adding two new outlets in the Springfield area. The Metro branches are expected to go live late 2012 or early 2013. With that addition, the Missouri CUSB Network will have nearly 120 branches.

Following discussions with MCUA Chairman Dennis Pierce, CEO of CommunityAmerica Credit Union, Mike Beall, president/CEO of the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) has announced his intention to leave the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) effective November 15, 2012. Beall has accepted a new position as the president/CEO of the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA) effective November 16, 2012, in Washington DC.
