Three Missouri Credit Unions Receive CDFI Grants

The U.S. Treasury Department awarded grants to five Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) in Missouri—and three of these recipients were credit unions! This was made possible through the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation's (MCUCF) statewide CDFI initiative. To date, MCUCF has helped 25 credit unions in Missouri earn CDFI certification and apply for grants.

Hayes Joins i3 Innovation Program

Jeremy Hayes, of Assemblies of God Credit Union (Springfield, Mo.), and 14 other credit union executives recently joined Filene Research Institute’s i3 innovation program. The program fosters the development of new ideas and innovations for credit unions. Each new i3 member serves a two-year term that kicks off at Filene’s big.bright.minds event this October at Princeton University.

Auto Loan Loyalty Stems From Good Customer Service

Anheuser-Busch Employees Credit Union (St. Louis, Mo.) and Assemblies of God Credit Union (Springfield, Mo.) recently participated in an auto loan report released by the Filene Research Institute.

Filene’s report showed that auto loan loyalty stems from intangible loan factors, such as good customer service, ease of contacting the lender and lender responsiveness, than from quantifiable loan factors, such as interest rates and down payment requirements.

Assemblies of God CU Hires Bob Dixon

The Assemblies of God Credit Union (AGCU) recently hired Springfield’s State Senator Bob Dixon as a mortgage officer for the credit union. The staff addition reflects significant member loan demand and the need for experienced mortgage professionals to address continued growth at the credit union.

Senator Dixon has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services.
