1st Financial FCU Awards New Grant to Help At-Risk Children in Ferguson

As part of its Your Community 1st Grant program, 1st Financial Federal Credit Union awarded $500 to J. Toni Burrow, executive director of PAKT Community Center in Ferguson. This grant will be used to support  educational, multi-cultural, recreational, and artistically enriched activities for the youth population in the Ferguson area of North St. Louis County.

1st Financial Federal Credit Union (Wentzville) continued its Helping People 1st Grant program in February by partnering with the Little Bit Foundation (Little Bit) to support disadvantaged children in the St. Louis area. 1st Financial’s Helping People 1st Grant program supports organizations that are working to help members of the community achieve personal or financial growth in the areas of housing, financial literacy, job training and education.

Horizon Credit Union Awards $2,500 in Scholarships

Horizon Credit Union (Macon) hosted its 61st annual meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2015. During the event, President Kay Lucas presented five students with scholarships; the scholarship winners represented three separate school districts. Each student received $500 to use toward their college expenses. In all, Horizon awarded $2,500 in scholarships.

BluCurrent Mingles with More Than 3,000 at Nixpo 2015

BluCurrent Credit Union (Springfield) attended Nixpo, an annual Business Expo on March 14, 2015. More than 3,000 Nixa residents attended the event. This is the fourth consecutive year that BluCurrent hosted a booth.

Kyle Wilson, branch manager of BluCurrent’s Nixa location was very pleased with BluCurrent’s involvement in the event this year.

Neighbors Credit Union Raises More Than $13,500 for CMN

Being a great neighbor means supporting your community and helping others in need. In 2014, Neighbors Credit Union put their neighborly services to good use. In addition to several donations to smaller organizations and charities, Neighbors Credit Union made a donation of $13,547.21 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) of Greater St. Louis.

Alliance Donates to Local Animal Shelter

The employees of Alliance Credit Union (Fenton) work diligently to serve their members. Their level of caring, though, extends beyond making sure their members lead successful financial lives. Each month, employees raise money through dress down days for charities such as Annie’s Hope, Cardinals Care and the Children’s Miracle Network.
