NCUA Board Meeting Summary

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board met briefly on October 18, 2012,  to issue a proposal to extend the period that eligible credit unions have to accept the low-income designation, receive a report on the National Credit Union Share Insurance and Corporate Credit Union Stabilization Funds, and approve a community charter conversion.  Below is  the summary with a few more details of the meeting.

TCCUSF Assessment Set at 9.5 Basis Points

During its July 24 meeting, the NCUA Board announced that the Temporary Corporate Credit Union Stabilization Fund assessment will be 9.5 basis points of insured shares.

NCUA Board Approves TDR Final Rule

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) met on May 24 and took positive steps to improve the regulatory and reporting treatment for troubled debt restructurings (TDR). The NCUA Board also eliminated the RegFlex program, but folded authorities under the program into the various rules that have applied to RegFlex activities. NCUA Board Addresses Dodd-Frank Act and More

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board met briefly on March 15 to address the agency’s plan to implement requirements under the Dodd-Frank Act and a presidential order to federal agencies regarding diversity within NCUA’s workforce, an update on the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund and a final rule that made some very minor changes to three NCUA rules.
