Metro Rejoins Credit Union Shared Branching


Metro Credit Union (Springfield) rejoined the Credit Union Shared Branch (CUSB) Network adding two new outlets in the Springfield area. The Metro branches are expected to go live late 2012 or early 2013. With that addition, the Missouri CUSB Network will have nearly 120 branches.

Credit Unions Climb the Convenience Branch


Credit unions are gaining ground on big banks when it comes to offering more branch locations. Credit unions that participate in CO-OP Shared Branching provide their members with the fourth largest financial branch network in the United States and in the state of Missouri. The network enables members to conduct their financial business regardless of where they live, work or travel. Credit unions offer 4,593 branches nationwide beating out U.S. Bank by more than a 1,500 locations. Chase/WaMu, Bank of America and Wells Fargo/Wachovia top the national list.

Shared Branch Network Expands in Illinois


The Missouri Credit Union Shared Branch (CUSB) Network is expanding its presence in Illinois. 1st MidAmerica Credit Union (Bethalto) opened a new branch in Edwardsville, bringing the CUSB total to 12 locations east of the river.
