CFPB Hears From Missouri Leaders Prior to Inaugural Session


A select group of Missouri credit union representatives had a rare opportunity to sit down with key leaders from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on September 26 - one day prior to the CFPB's consumer advisory board inaugural meeting being held in St. Louis.  

Credit union leaders explained how regulations being promulgated quickly through the system require additional staffing and increased costs to the consumer.

CFPB Extends Overdraft Comment Period



Credit unions have additional time to weigh in on the impacts of overdraft programs on consumers. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is extending the Overdraft Notice comment period until June 29. The original deadline was April 30.

Overdraft Survey Extended: May 25


In response to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's (CFPB) request for input on Overdraft Protection & Overdraft Privilege Programs, CUNA has developed a survey to gather input from credit unions.
The CFPB’s inquiry is focused on four main areas:

(1) Transaction Re-Ordering that Increases Consumer Costs,
